Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using the Tablekard platform.
Last updated: August 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Tablekard ("the Service"), operated by Growtez ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Service. These terms apply to all users — including restaurant owners, restaurant staff, and dine-in customers who scan QR codes, browse menus, or place orders through our platform.
2. Description of Service
Tablekard is a QR-based contactless ordering and restaurant management platform. The Service includes:
- Customer Ordering App: QR code scanning, digital menu browsing, item customisation (variants, add-ons, special instructions), dine-in and takeaway ordering, real-time order tracking via live queue, and online payment via Razorpay.
- Restaurant Admin Dashboard: Menu creation and management, table and QR code management, order processing, staff role management, revenue analytics, subscription billing, and payment settings configuration.
- Kitchen Display System (KDS): Real-time order display for kitchen staff with item-level status tracking (placed → preparing → ready).
- Additional Features: Personalised menu recommendations, customer feedback and ratings, AR/3D menu item viewing, promotional banners, and PDF receipt generation.
3. User Accounts & Authentication
To place orders or access restaurant management features, you must create an account. Tablekard supports two sign-in methods:
- Google OAuth: Sign in with your Google account. We receive your name, email, and profile photo.
- Magic Link: Enter your email to receive a passwordless login link — no password is ever stored.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, keeping your information accurate, and all activities that occur under your account. Guest ordering (without sign-in) may be available at participating restaurants.
4. Customer Responsibilities
As a dine-in customer using Tablekard, you agree to:
- Only place orders when you are physically present at the restaurant. Our geofencing system verifies your location before order placement.
- Provide accurate information when placing orders, including any dietary requirements or allergy-related special instructions.
- Complete payment for all confirmed orders — either online via Razorpay or at the counter (cash/card) as chosen during checkout.
- Use the feedback system responsibly and provide honest, constructive reviews.
5. Restaurant Owner Responsibilities
As a restaurant owner or administrator on Tablekard, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring all menu items, descriptions, prices, allergen information, and availability status are accurate and up to date.
- Fulfilling orders placed through the platform in a timely and professional manner.
- Complying with all applicable food safety regulations, FSSAI licensing, and local laws.
- Managing your restaurant's operating hours, table configurations, and staff access appropriately.
- Maintaining valid Razorpay credentials if online payments are enabled for your restaurant.
- Keeping your subscription active. Restaurants with expired subscriptions (past the grace period) will be automatically suspended.
6. Payments & Billing
- Customer Payments: Online payments are processed securely by Razorpay. Supported methods include UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, and mobile wallets. Order totals are calculated server-side to prevent tampering, and payment signatures are verified via HMAC before order confirmation.
- Pay at Counter: Customers may also choose to pay with cash or card at the restaurant counter. These payments are marked as pending and settled by restaurant staff.
- Restaurant Subscriptions: Restaurants pay a subscription fee to use Tablekard. Subscription payments are processed via Razorpay. Failed or expired subscriptions may result in service suspension after the grace period.
- Refunds: Refund eligibility is determined by the individual restaurant. For online payment refund disputes, please contact the restaurant directly or reach out to us at contact@tablekard.com.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Place fraudulent orders or attempt to manipulate prices, discounts, or payment flows.
- Spoof your GPS location to bypass the restaurant geofencing system.
- Attempt to access another user's account, orders, or restaurant data.
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or tools to interact with the Service without written permission.
- Upload harmful, misleading, or offensive content to menus, reviews, or profiles.
- Interfere with the Service infrastructure, Supabase Realtime channels, or webhook endpoints.
8. Intellectual Property
The Tablekard platform — including its design, logos, software, recommendation algorithms, and content — is the property of Growtez and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written consent. Restaurant owners retain ownership of their menu content, images, and branding uploaded to the platform, but grant us a licence to display and distribute such content in connection with operating the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
- Tablekard is a technology platform that facilitates ordering between customers and restaurants. We are not responsible for food quality, preparation, hygiene, allergens, or any health-related issues arising from food served by restaurants.
- We are not liable for payment failures, delays, or disputes between customers and Razorpay. All online payment disputes should be directed to Razorpay's dispute resolution process.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Growtez shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
10. Service Availability & Termination
We strive to maintain uninterrupted access but do not guarantee the Service will be available at all times. We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms.
- Automatically suspend restaurant accounts with expired subscriptions past the grace period.
- Modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service with or without notice.
- Update these Terms of Service — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Assam, India.
